Boy Hires Hitman to Kill Parents After Losing His PlayStation Priviledges
Saying this makes us feel a bit old but: What the hell is wrong with kids these days? It used to be that youthful acts of rebellion involved a piercing or running off for a day -- not hiring a hit man to murder your parents. 16 year-old Cory Ryder was grounded from playing his PlayStation or watching TV for weeks due to his inability to do basic things like not steal, go to school, and avoid getting arrested. After stealing $45 from his sister and getting into a heated argument with his parents, he was kicked out of his house, but not with out first threatening to have his family killed.
His mother tipped off the police, who sent out an undercover agent to pose as a hitman. Cory offered the officer his father's truck as payment and is quoted as saying, "Two bullets is all it takes." He is now in custody awaiting trial in a Maryland court.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE KIDS TODAY,IF THAT WAS MY CHILD HE WOULD HAVE AN UNSCHEDULED PROCTOLOGY APPOINTMENT TO RETRACT PLAYSTATION OUT OF TAIL PIPE.
jen @ Nov 6th 2007 5:17PM
did anyone ever think this could have been brought on by our kids playing TOO many violent video games.
Marsha @ Nov 6th 2007 5:35PM
I agree with cntkpmedwn4lng! The Bible says "Spare the rod, Hate the man" meaning people will hate that child as an adult!

Let's hear it for the return of corporal punishment by parents!
I bet the only discipline he got while growing up were "time outs".

Losing that playstation would be the least of his worries when I got done with him

It's not the law fault that our kids go astray.
The same people who say they can't discipline their children because of the law, sell drugs, take drugs, drive drunk, run boot leg houses, steal and so on.
It's up to the parent to decide they are going to rasie their child properly.

When I was growing up. I had disapline..Yes I got grounded.....Yes I got the toy or what ever takin away and when I was REAL bad...and it wasn't often, I got my butt whipped, twice in my growing up years, but I didn't do it again......In todays age.I could have really got my parents in trouble because of the butt whippin...Which I really deserved....In high school.I got paddled once for telling the teacher to go f##k herself. In todays age you can tell a teacher and they can't disaplin you....Our "politicly correctness" is bitting us in the butt. Yes there others that carry the disipline to far but If my kid needed it, which she did, I whipped her. And she never stole money from me or her mother. She has 3 kids now and ALL are allright..And yes if they need it, they got it. Only one has needed a whippin and she even admits says she deserved it.

Guys, you are really falling for this in a bad way. This is a bunch of crap: the last five cases that I saw on the news and internet about something like this..... it turned out that the 'hitman' had a beef against the parents of the child and the child had NOT hired him.... he was just saying that to get a lighter sentence for Attempted Murder.

OMG this made me actually spit all over my monitor I LOL'd so hard !!!
There is something seriously wrong with todays teens and i do think its because a lot of parents are scared to "parent" thier children. Screw that nonsense!!! My kids will be respectful and honest and will follow rules or there will be some serious consequences

"His mother tipped off the police, who sent out an undercover agent to pose as a hitman."
Very curious. Did the indercover guy hang a sign around his neck saying "hitman ?" How would this kid know to ask a stranger to kill his parents unless a bit of enticement, that is, entrapment, were involved.
Chris @ Nov 6th 2007 6:45PM
People should stop and realize it's not video games that make these kids what they are, it's piss poor parenting! If you don't know what your kids are doing it's your fault not there's! When they commit crimes and get arrested you are at fault! Raise your kids properly or don't have them at all! I vote everyone stops having kids and this won't be a problem!

my nephew was batter repeatedly by his maternal mother growing up, at 16 years old she tried him, but got something she never expected. he beat her (not that bad) she called the cop's and the kid (my nephew) got all the blame, hum... know at 18 years old living in my house for more than two months I have witness the damage in his mind. but I can say one thing, he is a beautiful person within. its only with some people that he can't control his temper. I have seen though, that when he speaks to me (aunt) he looks peaceful and he's said things to me he's never said to anyone... and with all that said, I have no doubt that the parents probably are as quilty as he is. take it as you will.
