I was good and thought I would purchase the simfree application (from freeit4less.com) and everything went fine!
Then I accidentally installed the new version on my iphone and got an iphone brick. Freeit4less.com were very helpful and I managed to reactivate my iphone but not sim unlock it, so they told me to flash the baseband and sent me to a website and told me to copy it! I did everything EXACTLY as it was stated on the website. Which then bricked my iphone! So I do not recommend you try it! Since then, where all the websites state "restore/ downgrade to version 1.0.2", my iphone will not do it! It will only accept the 1.1.1 version! So, anyone got any help other than what freeit4less offered me of "send it back to Apple and purchase a new one"?! As I do not have a spare $400 laying around!

Dragoness

Comments on iPhone Version 1.1.1 Unlocked

Freeit4less and their "solution" are worthless. They're misleading in their tutorials, don't provide complete information, and their tech supports sucks. I'm trying to get my money back and make sure others with 1.1.1 firmware don't give these crooks any more business. See my blog entry about this: freeit4less.blogspot.com/

rms

Comments on iPhone Version 1.1.1 Unlocked

rms, please stop plastering comments everywhere. This obviously works for lots of people, including everyone here, inluding on firmware 1.1.1 now. Upgradeable to firmware 1.1.2. Email me and stop already...or rather wish you hadn't posted this five ays ago.

Ian Littman
