Sonos Digital Music System

Those first few months of motherhood can be rough. Alone and stuck at home a lot of the time, you may find that your TV becomes your best friend. But another great form of entertainment entails flipping on your favorite tunes. If most of your music is stored on your computer, you may want to invest in the $999 Sonos Digital Music System. It uses at least two components and a secure Wi-Fi wireless network to let you stream your MP3, WAV, WMA and AAC digital tunes to up to 32 different rooms in your house, wire-free. You'll need the CR100 Controller, a Zoneplayer, and a set of speakers for each room you want to stream music to. Here's the cool part, though: You can stream different songs or playlists to each of those 32 rooms, so you can be playing, say, Maroon 5 in the den and The Wiggles in the nursery.

The system also comes pre-loaded with over 300 Internet radio stations, including select BBC stations and NPR (Sirius Satellite Radio subscribers can access over 80 digital radio channels as well).

The basic system includes two Zoneplayers and a CR100 Controller, but you can add extra Zoneplayers for $350 a pop. You'll also need to supply your own speakers.
