Best Gadgets for New Moms

Bugaboo Bee Stroller
Push any lower cost stroller around for a day and you'll understand immediately why the Dutch-designed-and-built Bugaboo is known as the SUV of baby buggies. Built to weather uneven pavement, steep hills, city curbs and even a sandy beach, the Bugaboo has indeed become the go-to stroller for any parent who wants the best product available. Unfortunately, these strollers are not cheap -- the highest priced Cameleon costs nearly $1,000 with accessories -- but they a certainly a solid investment (particularly if you're planning on having more kids!). And because of their girth and two-piece design, the standard-model Bugaboos don't easily fold up like an umbrella stroller, which makes them harder to take with you in a car or on a plane.
But now less-monied and more mobile moms can try the the $530 Bugaboo Bee, which is the more affordable and down-sized version of the famous rough-and-tumble stroller. Compact and crafted as a single piece, this stroller provides one-hand steering (thanks to a proprietary 360-degree swivel-wheel system), which any mom knows is key when a cell phone rings or when trying to grab a snack from the diaper bag. The tires, meanwhile, are foam-filled and include 4-wheel suspension, for smoothly handling most city curbs. Best of all, the seat is reversible, so younger babies can face you. The Bee comes in yellow, red, blue, khaki, and black.
