I kno that this is going to come up sooner or later. People are gonna wonder how they are allowed to use their wifi on an airplane when for years and years cell phones signals have been banned....it's because wifi, cell phones, mp3 players, cd players, and whatever else crazy that is banned do not actually interfere with airplane electronics! arguably fm tuners (altho not very likely) may actually interfere with the electronics (i've read a report about an fm radio interfering with the ils nav instruments in a commercial jet, altho there was no conclusive evidence), nothing else does. everything is on different bands of the rf spectrum. either way, i wonder what the official faa regulations are regarding rf transmitters/receivers in-flight.
