Convergence, the act of turning one device into a jack-of-all-trades, is all the rage these days. Your cell phone is a convergence device, loaded with PDA features such as an address book and a calendar. Plus, it probably has a camera. In Asia, TV tuners and GPS receivers are crammed into every product possible.

Tech Digest celebrates this stuffing-of-as-many-features-as-possible-into-one-device with a best-of list called "Top Ten Convergence-Busting Media Players." The list features 10 function-packed personal media players that are busting at the seams with non-media-related abilities. GPS receivers, cameras, DVR features, dictionaries, and even emulators for playing your favorite Nintendo and Sega classics are all represented.
