Pimp Out Your Dorm Room!
Logitech MX Air Wireless Mouse / Remote Control
And you thought the Nintendo Wii remote was cool. This thing may look like an ordinary wireless mouse, but it also doubles as a gesture-based media remote. Don't worry -- we'll break that down for you.
First off, this is a well-designed wireless mouse. It uses lasers and wireless radio technology to do all of the things you'd expect out of a mouse. But it doesn't stop there - the Logitech MX Air also controls your Windows XP or Windows Vista media with a flip of the wrist. Want to skip to the next track? Just flip your wrist. Want to adjust the volume? Wave to the right or left. Oh -- remember scroll wheels? Those are so 2007. This thing uses a scroll panel.
The MX Air runs $149, but don't let that turn you off. A decent wireless mouse runs about $50 anyway. Add to that a media remote, and you're in the ballpark of worth-it-ness. Clearly you need some music at your dorm parties, right? You had better look darn cool changing tracks, and this thing will deliver the effect you're looking for.
