Military Robots That Do Surgeons' Work
DARPAtech, the research arm of the Pentagon, is showing off a wide range of ground breaking tech at its annual conference. First up is the Trauma Pod, a self contained, portable, robo-surgeon. The big news about the Trauma Pod is that it will be ready for deployment in 2009.
Researchers were also showing off a Breathalyzer that can supposedly detect a broad range of diseases, including breast cancer. Menssana Research, the maker of the Breath Collecting Apparatus, claims the device is as accurate as a mammogram.
Also on display are three new battle field ready robots, including the four-legged, sensor-equipped, Little Dog (for handling uneven terrain); the idiot proof, helicopter-like Micro Air Vehicle; and the larger, completely autonomous Organic Air Vehicle, which can land in an area, perform surveillance, then return again to base all by itself.

It's a sad state of affairs in America when we have robots fighting wars......
We used to have a moral compass in this country, now we have television. Police used to watch over the people, now they just watch the people.
I've never been a religious person, but I know right from wrong, and there's a lot of wrong going on.
It's a sad affair to daily read the news and see what this once proud nation has become.
We don't even have a decent choice for a leader at this point. They are all proffesional politicians, more interested in lining their pockets, and feeding their needs for power, that they have no interest in you or me, other than getting us to vote.

Yeah its a crying shame that the goverment is trying to design robots to protect our intrests instead of just sending more and more citizens into battle. I tell you Americans complain when our soldiers die, and here again Americans complain when the goverment devlops technology to protect our soldiers.
