iChat on iPhone: Finally!
While most owners think that the iPhone can walk the walk and talk the talk, others believe the lack if iChat support makes the phone a bit of a jive turkey; all about expanding connectivity and shifting paradigms while not delivering basic functions like IM. While Apple is hinting that iChat is coming to the iPhone sometime in the indeterminate future, beejive has delivered a fully-functioning IM client specifically tailored for the iPhone.Because Apple won't actually let you install anything on your iPhone you're going to have to rely on the Safari Web browser to run this app. But, just point it to iphone.beejive.com, log in to your account, and you'll be greeted with a screen like the one you see here (except with real people, not film characters), letting you add and chat with friends over AIM, iChat, MSN, Yahoo!, GoogleTalk, ICQ, and more.
The software is currently at version 0.8.2, meaning it still has a ways to go before it's "complete," but early reports are good and iPhone users desperately seeking chat will want to check it out.
