"Air Conditioned" Bed Makes Sleeping Cool

Sleep experts say that one of the most important factors in getting good shut-eye is doing so in a comfortable climate. Of course, this can be tough to accomplish when you live in a tiny house built 150 years ago with the insulation of a mosquito net and it's 103 degrees outside. Particularly if the air conditioning doesn't get to every corner of your house.

Enter Kuchofuku, a "bed" that uses dual fans to pull air in and circulate it through the cushion beneath you. The thing only weighs 5.3 pounds, and rolls up tightly so you can bring it with you on safari in Africa (just make sure you're staying at a fancy lodge that has AC power, since you'll need that to run this thing.)

Seems like a good way to save energy and keep your AC costs down. And this is one of those Japan-only gadgets that you can actually have delivered to the U.S. for $399.
