Carpet Doubles as Alarm Clock

In the "why didn't we think of that?" department comes the newest in alarm clock interface design: the Carpet Alarm Clock. Created by Sofie Collin and Gustav Lanber, the clock forces you to actually swing those achy legs of yours out of the bed, place them down on the mat and stand up in order to stop the incessant noise.
Sweet! That is, until you figure out that sleeping alongside really heavy objects (like spouses) and pushing them off the bed and onto the mat when the clock starts ringing is the only way you're gonna get any damn sleep around here.

This is a great and simple product. The simplicity of the human factors alone sells it.
