Web Sites for Honeymooning

Web Sites for Honeymooning
Unless you want a marriage shorter than Britney's first attempt (a whole 55 hours to Jason "No, not George Costanza" Alexander), Web surfing isn't necessarily something you should spend too much time doing while on honeymoon. However, Web surfing can be a very good thing if done before the honeymoon -- assuming you're surfing the right sites, of course. Geeksugar has compiled a list of Web sites to help you plan your post-wedding getaway, and many of them are also useful in planning the rest of the shebang, too.

Topping the list is The Knot, one of the most popular wedding planning sites on the Web, which has suggestions on where to honeymoon and also info on how to handle the logistics (like passport laws and the like). Next up is Wedding Channel, which in addition to a whole raft of nuptial advice, has photo tours of lots of swanky resorts in lots of swanky locales. Finally, there's The Honeymoon, a honeymoon registry site that lets you add honeymoon-related niceties to a registry that your guests can chip in on.

For example, if your new hubby wants to go scuba diving but the rental fees are blowing your budget out of the water -- quite literally -- add it to your honeymoon registry and maybe your rich uncle will pick up the tab. It's certainly a much better idea to give more options to family gift-givers than to let them come up with their own ideas. We've seen some pretty bad ones, like tacky porcelain figurines, live lobsters and even a cat (thankfully not in a box).
