AT&T and Apple have officially announced the iPhone service plans, all of which include unlimited data and 200 text messages. The plans cost $60, $80 and $100 for 450, 900 and 1,350 minutes, respectively. The $60 starter plan includes 5,000 night and weekend minutes, while the other two plans provide unlimited minutes.
Engadget is reporting that existing AT&T customers still locked into contracts can add the iPhone data plan for $20 per month.
Also of note in the official press release is the mention of a one-time $36 activation fee -- because already paying $599 for your phone wasn't enough of a kick in the groin.

another reason not to get the iPhone is that the screen is made of the same material as the iPod screen which scratches very easily. I can barely see the screen of my iPod and i got it last year. I wont get the iPhone until they get a 60gb version.

WITH MY HELIO, I GET 1,000 ANYTIME MINUTES FOR $85, THAT ALSO INCLUDES ALL OF THESE GREAT FEATURES INCLUDED AND UNLIMITED: TEXT MESSAGING, PICTURE MESSAGING, VIDEO MESSAGING, MYSPACE MOBILE, WEB BROWSING (WITH SEARCH), FILE TRANSFER, HIGH SPEED 3G NETWORK, GPS-ENABLED GOOGLE MAPS, BUDDY BEACON (WITH GPS), NIGHT & WEEKENDS TALKING, AND MOBILE-TO-MOBILE. This is ridiculous. You would think that [in this day and age] AT&T would come up with better plans and pricing for this expensive device. I mean come on! $60 bucks a month and you only get 450 minutes?! And you don't even get unlimited nights weekends and texting?!! Kinda makes me wish T-MO picked up the iPhone instead, you know the plans and price would be better.
