Tivoli Audio Debuts Net Radios

At its annual New York luncheon this afternoon, Tivoli Audio -- the high-fallutin' maker of audiophile table radios, iPod speaker docks, and alarm clocks -- announced its line of new products for 2007. The main news is the Networks Internet/FM Table Radio (pictured), a souped-up, WI-Fi-enabled device that features the same wooden body and overall shape of its classic Model One radio by Henry Kloss. Like similar products such as the Roku SoundBridge Radio that came out last year, the NetWorks radio plays any Internet radio station -- everything from Internet streams of Iranian radio to your local NPR station -- as well as FM. It'll also play some of the European DAB stations and HD radio that have Internet streams.

If you have a favorite public Wi-Fi hotspot in, say, a park, or a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot in your car, you'll be able to use the NetWorksGo, which is the portable version of Tivoli's Web radio line. Squarish and modern, the NetWorks Go has a rechargeable battery that last up to 10 hours and will also function as a speaker system for your MP3 player (via USB). LIke the table top NetWorks radio, this portable model also has FM capability.

Both devices double as alarm clocks. They're due in stores this Fall, which probably means by Thanksgiving (just in time for the holidays).
