Levi's Launching a Cell Phone
The tech gadget highway is littered with the road kill of a million unwanted devices, including Levi Strauss's goofy looking RedWire DLX iPod jeans (pictured), which last year failed to capture the "I wish I could plug my iPod into my pants" market.
Now, U.K. gadget pub Stuff (not to be confused with the American boob magazine of the same name) is reporting that the denim empire is launching a cell phone in September. Details are scant at this time, but the phone is reported to be stacked with a 2.0 megapixel cam, 1.8-inch screen, Bluetooth and micro SD slot.
Unless it comes with its own auxiliary pocket that somehow attaches to your pairs of Levi's jeans, we can't imagine why anyone would ever bother.

Just what we need....another cell phone with a gimmick. Most people don't use 90 percent of their cell phone features as it is. Now, we need a special pair of Levi's just to carry the cell phone. We can have all this worthless stuff available to us, but we can't have universal health care. something very wrong with our priorities.

Cracks me up, considering sitting down with ipod in jeans is one of the big culprits re: cracked LCD screens ....
