Autobahn Promises Faster iTunes Downloads

App Promises 10x Faster iTunes DownloadsAnd fails to deliver -- at least for us. A little freeware app called Autobahn Accelerator has been released by Swarmcast, promising to connect your iTunes account to multiple download servers and speed up your downloads by a factor of 10. Unfortunately, in our tests that included downloading some tracks and podcasts with and without Autobahn running, we didn't see any improvement at all. But, since the little app is free and doesn't appear to do anything negative to your system, it's worth a shot, right? It's Windows only, so all you Mac iTunes users will be stuck with the same download speeds you had before -- which, apparently, is no different than the Autobahn-accelerated ones.
