iPhone Spotted in Public
Engadget has photo evidence of an iPhone in the wild! The sighting occurred on Caltrain, a commuter rail known to be heavily trafficked by Apple employees traveling between San Francisco and the company's Cupertino headquarters. According to the eyewitness, this is no fake: The guy using the phone was seen flipping through songs as we've all seen it done in demos.

And this show-off isn't the only one using the iPhone to passive-aggressively boast about how cool, plugged in and ahead of the curve he is. Earlier this week, Wall Street Journal tech writer Walt Mossberg was spotted flashing it under the noses of college leaders at a forum put on by The Chronicle of Higher Education. Mossberg was given a unit to play around with for review and had yet to decide if his verdict on the iPhone was going to be favorable or not. But, we think we have an inkling of which way he'll swing. As anyone who's ever read Mossberg's column certainly knows, his love for Apple borders on idolatry.
