The Switched Questionnaire: Hanson

If you were around in the late '90s, you'll remember that Hanson was once considered pop-trio-bordering-on-boy-band. But thanks to 'Strong Enough to Break,' the 2006 documentary about their struggles with record companies trying to make them"fit the suit," the three Oklahoma brothers who make up Hanson were finally exposed as serious acoustic musicians without a lot of overproduced pop on their minds.

In anticipation of its newest self-released album, The Walk (out July 24), the group is posting weekly episodes of 'Taking the Walk' as free podcasts on iTunes ('Strong Enough to Break' is also available for free on iTunes). We could go on and on about these creative and prolific brothers, but instead we'll share the gadget preferences of Zac Hanson (pictured, far left), the youngest and most tech-savvy of the three.

What gadgets do you always bring with you on tour (for down-time?

My PSP

What cell phone do you have right now and what do you love/hate about it?

I have the BlackBerry 7130c. I hate the scroll wheel. I am left handed but the scroll wheel is on the right side.

Who's the last person you sent a text message to and what was it about?

My wife. I will leave what it was about to your imagination, but it did leave a smile on my face.

Where do you go pretty much every time you get online?

IGN.com. I like video games, what can I say?!

What annoys you most about your iPod, cell phone, or laptop (or any other gadget)?

My laptop battery life is just not nearly enough. I can't do much of anything unless I am plugged in.

Name one thing you wish your iPod/cellphone/laptop (any gadget) could do that it doesn't do now?

Make me coffee, and tone my abs.

What upcoming gadget can you not wait to get your hands on?

I have yet to buy a Nintendo Wii.

You're stranded on a desert island: What gadget do you bring?

Satellite phone. That way I can still order take out.

What's the most-played song or artist on your iPod?

'Desire', by U2.

Blackberry, Sidekick, or Treo?

BlackBerry. Being able to sent a PIN message to someone and know they will get it in 3 secs is pretty cool.

Are you getting an iPhone? If so, why?

Yes. I have a MacBook Pro, and the iPhone will be the best Phone to sync with all of my programs. Also Apple stuff rocks, so the more of its products I can use, the better.

What's the longest time you've ever spent playing a video game in one sitting and what game was it?

I played Final Fantasy X for 10 hours when I first got it.
