GameTap Gives it Up for Free
These days, there's no shortage of games that can be played for free on your computer. The problem is, you usually get what you pay for.

Thankfully, that no longer has to be the case. The subscription-based online gaming portal, GameTap is now offering up a slice of its 900+ game selection for absolutely free -- as long as you don't mind sitting through some advertisements as you play.

For between $6.95 up to $9.95 per month, GameTap gives users access to a constantly updated archive of video games ranging from classics such as 'Frogger' up to more modern fare such as 'Tomb Raider.' Now, GameTap lets non-subscribers get a taste of the action by opening up 30 games to play for free, which will rotate on a monthly basis.

GameTap is a fantastic service, and now that portions of it are free, we encourage you to check it out – though we suspect you'll be a paying customer before you know it.
