iPhone Confirmed for June 29
If you missed last night's spankin' new Apple iPhone TV ads, you missed the first detailed glimpse of it in action, plus confirmation of the release date: June 29. This is a few weeks later than earlier speculation of a June 11 release, but these new previews of the phone and its capabilities make a somewhat acceptable consolation prize. They show off a slick and responsive interface (what else would you expect?) and some tight integration with Google Maps, plus e-mail, photo viewing, Web surfing, and of course video and music playback. It certainly looks like a slick device that could deliver on the hype leading up to the launch, now the question is, will people buy it?
