Tech Tips for Looking Busy at Work

Hit Panic!
Quick -- you're "busy" playing 'Minesweeper' when the boss approaches. What do you do? You don't want to lose your awesome progress, so you hit the panic button. The USB panic button quickly displays boring-looking documents on your screen upon activation. This should be used in emergency situations only, however, as the boring documents tend to be the same ones you haven't worked on each time -- let's just hope your boss doesn't take too close a look.

This Panic Button is a gag gift, right? No one is stupid enough to buy one for real?
(And sorry, I left this comment in the wrong place before, so I probably shouldn't be talking about who's stupid).
If you're really bored at work, you can come to my blog at http://crankyfitness.blogspot.com, but you'd have to be pretty desperate.

If you're bored at work, quit your job and make way for someone who really wants to work!

yeah, you could buy that very obvious button...or you could just 'Alt+Tab' to whatever REAL boring work you should be doing.
idk - maybe it's just me...

I'm 23 and I think this is horrible to the people who seriously want to work hard.
especially the older folks who get passed up for jobs because they got too much experience when all they want to do is work =( and not look shitty to their families.

All of you complainer's are the worst! I bet user's like pat and the other whiner's are a real "joy" to work with. why does it matter to you who slacks and who does not DO YOUR WORK!! mind your own business and stop trying to tell everyone how they should live! just sit back and get promoted before the slackers by minding your own neck and doing YOUR work.

PEOPLE PEOPLE. IT'S THE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE. EVERYBODY GOOFS OFF AT WORK. EVEN YOUR BOSSES DON'T SPEND EVERY PAID DAY AT WORK ACTUALLY WORKING ON ISSUES RELATED TO WORK. ASK THEM. I DONT KNOW OF ANY JOB WERE ANY EMPLOYEE WORKS 100% OF THE TIME ON JOB RELATED ISSUES. WHY DO YOU THINK MOST JOBS ARE 8 HRS LONG. THEY ALLOW YOU 2 HRS OF TIME FOR GOOF OFF MATTERS.MOST BOSSES KNOW YOU DONT SPEND ALL 8HRS ACTUALLY WORKING, MOST PEOPLE CAN ACCOMPLISH ACTUAL WORK RELATED ISSUES IN 6 HRS OR LESS. NOW WHAT DO WANT, TO BE PAID FOR ACTUAL WORK TIME OR 40HRS A WEEK TO QUALIFY FOR BENEFITS. YOU CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS.
