This Automated Pet Feeder Also Talks

If you've been considering bringing a pet of either the "woof" or the "meow" variety into your life, but aren't sure you'll always be around to feed it, you might want to check out the solution the folks at WildElectronics have for you.
Yes, it's an automated pet food feeder. Okay, nothing new, but this one talks! And your lonely pet who undoubtedly misses its deadbeat owner will surely appreciate a kind voice that says it's chow time.
The company's battery-powered pet bowl can be set to open at 8, 12, or 24 hour intervals, so that your pet can eat while you're off drinking or playing water polo or hanging out with other people's pets. Your pet will hardly notice the difference, since you can record a voice message that plays at those set times.
The talking, opening bowl costs $40 bucks, but remember: Money can't buy love, not even for your pets, so make sure you show them some face time. (It's a lot easier than teaching your dog how to order pizza or microwave leftovers.)
