Gas Price Sites Getting Mega Traffic

Price gouging at the gas pumps is being outlawed, but a handful of entrepreneurs are nevertheless profiting from the recent surge in fuel prices in other ways. Jason Toews, creator of GasBuddy.com, is saying that his site has gone from one million unique visitors per day in 2004, when gas prices started to rise, up to an impressive four million visitors per day. Brad Proctor, who launched GasPriceWatch.com, has seen a similar spike on his similar site. Both sites enable users to submit an address to find the cheapest nearby station, even filtering by fuel type. Unfortunately these sites won't actually lower gas prices, but they might save you a few bucks here and there if you check in before each fill-up.
