Game On at San Francisco's Hotel Tomo

San Francisco's Best Western Hotel Tomo

Boutique hotels are usually rather upmarket institutions, catering to those with expense accounts, 401K's, and leather attaches (or jackets).

Not so at San Francisco's Best Western Hotel Tomo, located the city's Japantown district. Formerly the Best Western Miyako Inn, the hotel has been taken over by the Joie de Vivre boutique hotel chain, renamed the Best Western Hotel Tomo, and refurbished with the hipster otaku tech-fetishist in mind. In every room, Japanese-pop-culture-loving-guests will be treated to the luxuries of a 26-inch LCD Flat screen television, cable TV with Lodge Net on Command (for movies and games), high-speed Internet (wired and wireless), an iPod docking station and radio, and J-pop, anime, and manga wall murals.

In addition, the hotel will feature two gaming suites with PS3 and Wii, bean bags, sofa beds, 6-foot LCD projection screens, microwaves, and mini refrigerators.

Oh, and there are safes in each room, perfect for storing your beloved hentai manga.

Hotel Tomo opens its doors on June 1st.
