Hints of a Double-Sided Touchscreen iPod

A recently uncovered patent filed by Apple back in January has dialed the iPod rumor mill up to full-tilt. The patent calls for a second, touch-sensitive screen to be fitted on the back of the iPod to house controls similar to those on the iPhone. The front screen, therefore, would presumably be content, and content only. So, is this the next iPod? The drawing's depiction of a phone-like keypad has many thinking it could actually be an iPod Nano-sized iPhone.

Who knows? As we've seen in the past, some of these uncovered patents have made it into the Apple product line, while others continue to languish in patent purgatory.
