Five Million People Play Halo 2

Halo 2

It didn't take long for 'Halo 2' to establish itself as a hugely successful game, moving 2.4 million copies within 24 hours of its initial release. Now, 2.5 years after that epic 2004 release, developer Bungie has announced that over 5 million individual people have played 'Halo 2' online. Those 5 million would-be Spartan warriors have combined to play a whopping 700 million games. If you assume an average of 5 minutes per match, that's a total of 58.3 million man (and woman) hours of time spent playing. Can Bungie's upcoming 'Halo 3' find the same amazing success when it hits the Xbox 360 this Fall? And, if it does, will global productivity rates ever recover? Time will tell.
