New Treo 755p Brings Sexy Back to Palm

Sprint users looking for a sexy and slim Palm Treo device need wait no longer: Announced today, the Treo 755p will start trickling out to the mobile carrier's stores in the coming days and weeks. The new phone has all the features of the wildly popular 700p – the latest Palm OS, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and high-speed EVDO capability – but gets rid of the bulging antenna. The inclusion of EVDO means you'll be able to access Sprint's excellent video offerings quickly, as well as surf the Web more quickly with near-Broadband speeds.
Yes, it also looks just like the slimmer, antenna-free 750w and 680 that came out last year, but those models don't have EVDO (instead, those other models feature EDGE, which is about half as fast). The 755p is also the first Treo to offer Microsoft Push e-mail, which means you can get your Outlook messages in real-time, as they arrive.
We applaud any new Treo with the Palm OS, which in our experience is more stable and less glitch-prone than Windows Mobile, but even this smaller 755p is no match for the just-launched BlackBerry Curve in the slim and compact department.
