DirecTV Goes Camping
Nothing beats going camping, roasting marshmallows and gathering the roost to swap ghost stories around the . . . satellite TV? That's right, DirecTV's newly announced Sat-Go is satellite TV receiver and monitor squished together into briefcase-sized package. Though car-based mobile satellite products such as KVH's TracVision already exist, Sat-Go is the first truly portable solution.

The $1,499 price sticker will surely make it the most expensive camping accessory in your pack. But, for that price you get yourself a 17-inch LCD display, stereo speakers and even a remote control. Because, really, who can be bothered to worm out of a sleeping bag to flip away from those amazingly crappy Head-On ads?
