Recent quality problems with various devises place Sony in the same 'Hall of Failures' that Toyota and Mercedes have found themselves in.

I have always purchased a lot of Sony products and believe in the, in general, still.

However, a Sony product I recently bought really disappointed me for it's poor ergonomic design and lack of features and the Vaio laptop I bought has been in for quality-related failures twice. Good thing I bought a pricey $400.00 extra warranty on it from the retailer, (Circuit City).

Sony Vaio p.c.'s are nice, rather pricey, but don't hold up in general and even careful use.
My Vaio laptop rarely leaves the house since I use it as a desktop mostly.

Hope Sony now is beginning to "see the light". Reputation is everything.
