Get Chatty at the Bus Stop
Despite the dictionary's current interpretation of the word 'solo,' a Canadian cell carrier by that very name is aiming to bring people together. Solo Mobile, the hipper, mobile-phone wing of Bell Canada, has introduced an advertising campaign to show off the new walkie-talkie functionality of the company's phones. Bus stops around the Great White North are being outfitted with displays showing large pictures of the phones and inviting passers-by to, "Push here to try the new walkie talkie phone." Anyone who takes the billboard up on its offer can then talk into the ad and have his or her comments broadcast to similar bus stops in other Canuckian cities, including Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto and Calgary. It sounds to us like an invitation for Canadian commuters to curse their maple syrup-guzzling butts off, eh?
