Get Ya Answers at FixYa
It's no secret that getting support for consumer electronics is neither fun nor easy. Company Web sites make finding support info, at best, difficult, and sometimes even impossible. The founders of FixYa.com realized this and decided to "aggregate all support information scattered throughout the Internet in a single user-friendly location," according to the site's home page. In addition to collecting user-manuals and FAQs on many gadgets under the sun, FixYa.com is host to an active community of users who share experiences, solutions, and expertise. Users then rate fixes posted by the self-proclaimed "experts" to help others identify the best solution to a problem.
Its bold tag line -- 'FixYa - Find all support information for any Consumer Product' -- might qualify as a slight overstatement, but the wealth of knowledge available on the site is impressive. Obvious and popular products are covered quite well from the Moto RAZR v3 to the iPod, but there is also plenty of information about more obscure products such as the MDB9600A Jetclean II Built-in Dishwasher.
Some of the knowledge bases do need to be cleaned up, however, as questions about products seem to end up in the wrong forums quite frequently.

The most convenient and secure way is to use an iPod-to-computer transfer program to help you, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transfer
http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tansee-iPod-Transfer.htm
Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer. The whole process goes as follows:
Firstly install this program on your computer. When you plug your iPod to the computer, this program will instantly display all songs and videos on the iPod.You simply select what you wish to transfer and click "Copy" button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your computer safely. Now you can easily add those songs and videos to your iTunes library. See detailed guide.
More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.
Here is step-by-step guide on the whole process:

Best luck!

My iPod won't download from my computer. have cleared and resynced. took it to the apple Store .Waited 45 minutesThat was with an appointment!) They passed me over (because they were running behind on their scheduled appts!) to a teenager who had just started working there. anyway while trying to download it makes faint "whirring" noiseand just keeps on and on working at the download but never gets in. There is a very slight dent on the silver side @ 11o'clock to the "i" inthe "iPod" logo. Could the hard drive be permanently damaged by this?? Thanks!
