How to Recycle Dead Gadgets
When ink cartridges run out, the actual cartridges still work fine. That's why recycling them is not only important for landfill's sake, but profitable for wallet's sake. Emptysolution.com will buy your ink, laser and toner cartridges off of you, which the company refills and then resells as "remanufactured." Save them in bulk and they'll even send you a prepaid packaging label.

Planet Green is the BEST company for recycling inkjet cartridges and cell phones. Some of the inkjets on their list are worth $5!

This company offers 25c for the type of ink cartridge that I have - what a ripoff! I take them back to Staples and get $3.00 per cartridge! Do yourself a favor by checking w/Staples first!

We sent 9 cartidges and 1 cell phone to Empty Solutions months ago and have not received payment for them yet. When I try to get into the site to check on payment I get a
"The page cannot be displayed

It looks like maybe the site is shut down and I won't get paid for them. Good thing the shipping was paid by them so we aren't out the shipping costs.

If you check with your local school or church youth group, they probably have an ink cartridge (& cell phone)recycling program. It is so easy to just drop them off and know you are helping the youth in your community.
