Crazy Alec Baldwin Voicemail

Check out this crazy voicemail message on TMZ, in which an enraged Alec Baldwin chews out his 12-year-old daughter Ireland for well over three minutes for not picking up the phone at the appointed time. We feel for both Dad and daughter, because we've gotten into plenty a tussle with friends or loved ones over missed cell phone calls.

This happens for a number of reasons: no cell-phone reception (dead spots are everywhere), empty batteries, a vibrate mode that doesn't vibrate quite hard enough, or silenced ringers that we forgot to turn back on. It's just a reality we've learned to live with in this mobile age – we just can't get everyone else in our lives to see it that way.

And apparently Alec Baldwin doesn't see it that way either. But we wonder, what's nuttier: a Dad yelling at his 12-year old kid, or a tween girl leaking her embarrassing voicemails of her father to Web sites? (Or was it mom, Kim Basinger, doing the leaking?)

It is clear though, that Kim Bassinger has made sure that her daughter is not able to receive Alec's phone call, because I doubt very much that the daughter herself avoids being present for the calls. It sounds to me like Kim is manipulating Alec so that she can stop his visitation rights.
But it is true that he himself should have realized that, and not blamed the child, but blamed the mother.
His loss of self control at the child, even if it was manipulated by Kim, indicates a certain emotional immaturity. His obvious frustration at his situation has taken hold of his rational self and caused him to humiliate himself on a phone message that most people know can be shared.

What a selfish SOB - it's all about him. Who's the child here? He sounds like a whiney ass 6 year old. I hate to think the damage he has done to that child's self-esteem and self-image
in the last 12 years. He obviously has no respect for the child or himself. He apparently has extreme anger at the child's mother and the child is the recipient of that anger.
So tomorrow is Friday the 20th, the day this child is to Look Forward to a visit from her father has threatened her to within an inch of her life because Poor Baby he had to be inconvenienced by making a call to her that she didn't answer...oh boo hoo hoo daddy poo poo head!
