This is complete political liberal BS!! When you acknowledge the FACT that India and China BOTH produce six times more pollution than our simple country, you know this is just more American-liberal (feel guilty for what the world is doing) garbage!

This is liberal BS!! China, Russia, and India all produce four to six time more pollution than our country! American liberals hate life because they choose to feel guilty about what others are doing. Until the rest of the world follows suit with "carbon footprints", it is a futile effort on our part. But, liberals will find reasons unto themselves, to continue this meaningless "feel good" effort.

this is a little bit over the top liberal
tripe. cause of global warming mostly likely
sun activity and the big guilt trip, blame game thing probably not really useful except for those with the liberal beatific vision and the
arrogance of Gore. check out bbc4 documentary
the global warming swindle and the books
unstoopable global warming every 1500 years and broken consensus. cuts thru a lot of the BS.

THE SKY IS FALLING...THE SKY IS FALLING...THE SKY IS FALLING !!!!!!!!
Believing the environmentalist wacko mantra is a sign of mental defect.
If we listened to all they say we'd conclude, the only way man can stop destroying the planet is if we all stopped breathing simultaneously. But,then our decomposing corpses would probably cause even more environmental damage.
The biggest green house gas polluter in the State of Washington in the year 2005 was Mt.Rainier.What do we do go put a cork in the volcano!?!?!?!?!?
The Earth is renewable,Lake Erie proves that.Back in the '60s and early'70s the lake was pretty much dead.Decades of industrial dumping had killed the fish and polluted the beaches turning one of the Great Lakes into a large wet landfill for all intense purposes. When dumping was put to an end the lake, over a period of time, cleaned itself and is now a recreational destination for millions of midwesterners.Granted there were some man made efforts to cleaning up Lake Erie but,a huge majority of the lake's cleanup was natural.
Uncontrolled pollution is a threat to us as human beings but,not to the planet. If we went back to the ways we had before,we could and would cause our own extinction. But,to say that man is destroying the planet is awful conceited.Only God can destroy this planet. We can destroy ourselves and do some damage but, after we're gone, the planet will live on and heal itself.

Ok ok this makes so seance to me at all, ok we all know why the Earth is acting the way it is. Yet we still continue to use the same manufactoring plants, the same ones every one complains about that are distroying our Earth.
The real problem is the people that live on it and i do admitt my self included. Also peace around the world, such as china and their nuclear bombs makes no seance we shouldn't have to make such a thing if there was peace and to get peace we need every ones help and that goes back to the people.
Then again we are trying to make a difference with different transportations, and different ways to do things, and thats all good but we need more, we need more to save out Earth and animals that are being effected by it.

This article is full of hand having opinions and no real facts. Articles like this is why these people can't get anywhere with their point of view. It's a shame becuase we probably should be moving toward everything being more earth friendly ..... ognow

This article is a little over the top in regards to CD burning at home. Maybe, the government should regulate Businesses that do mass mailings of CD's & mass mailings of paper, period. Yes, there is alot of pollution let out by the U.S. and yes the environment is changing. I notice this at the beach, no more sandfleas(FL). I believe China, Japan and 3rd world countries pollute more, of course Mexico City does their fair share. The whole world is to blame for pollution, regardless. The U.S. needs to step up and help other countries,CIP-Brazil. Global Warming/Climate Crisis (insert politically correct phrase here) is not just a passing phase it is happening here and now.

The previous comments just show how America is screaming for a centrist government, for some common sense. The right-wingers disparage those who care. The left just seems to wring their hands. But why do right-wingers react so angrily? Are they afraid they will lose their "right" to be irresponsible?

Let's talk about the real problem: Population Explosion.
Women are having children they cannot support. Men share the blame.
The Earth is doomed and the only question is how long can we prolong its eventual destruction? Unless there is a major population reduction caused by birth control, war, starvation or disease, the environment will continue to degrade.
Why should I limit the number of children I have to support others who don't care?
Welcome to a "Brave New World".

Run! Run! RUN! RUN! RUUUUUUNNNNN!
This definetly over the top. Yes we have polution problems and yes there is to much trash on the streets, but the earth is not in danger. Remember the Global Cooling scare in the seventies? Check out the 1975 issue of US Weekly.
Science (the same ones today) said that we were heading toward another ice age with in years. Hmmm guess they were wrong just like they are now.

The Liberals have been using wacky science and scare tactics for years as propaganda for the purposes of increasing taxes and social engineering. Just look at where the gas prices have gone since they have been in power. If you want to kill the economy lets just keep them in power. We'll all be in gas lines again.

That is why the documentary was titled An INCONVENIENT Truth. People dont want to deal with something that isnt convenient. They would rather bury their heads in the sand and let someone else do the work, blame it on someone else, or think the All-mighty will take care of the problem.

"Hubris". Authors either naive or manipulative
If they are serious, the people who wrote this piece, should look that word up. The word, regular in English now, comes from the ancient Greek plays, describing the sin of thinking one's self one of the gods. Get a life folks. Mankind does not have that kind of impact.
ON the other hand, more likely the writers are like most journalists, driven by political agenda, or worse yet, market research of what "sells" to an audience.

Thanks to Keith for reminding us that the Earth
will renew itself. You are correct. Please know that at this point there are so many untruths being put out - it is hard to know what is true. While I believe we have and are causing a change in our climate, I am not sure it is happening the way it is being reported.
What if the submarines in the ocean studing this stuff is melting the snows and warming up the areas that are normally frozen? They have to be changing the environment that they are in somewhat? Why is the damage that the NASA flights/program is causing not being mentioned and stopped first? Why is the use of nuclear power plants one of the first solutions to the problem when they can cause so much more damage to our race than the benefits they provide? Could it be money?
What if some group with money is causing the drastic, faster changing with the very power they wish to install - i.g. the nuclear power?
Thanks for reading. Be well.

The cause and effects of global warming has been an on going discusion since the late 70's.I beeing an avid hunter and fisherman.Take efforts in conserving wildlife. And global warming is something. That animals take seriously.Like the dodo. And the bald eagle. The bald eagle is still on the endangered species list. I beleive, I'd have to look.
Seen a special on birds of pray.We got falcons living in cities.Cities that took up their teritory. Politics arnt the issue at hand. What is at hand is 108-120 degree sumers and 70-80 degree winters.Flash flooding, crop damage speradic wheather paterns etc.

someone has to wacth it. Youll be crying when people starts being flooded out or the parts of the world are under water. God gave us this world and we better try to take care of it. Everyone in this world better start thinking what God would do and not what makes you richer. God loves us. God puts it on peoples hearts and in their minds to care about other prople and what happens to other people. I pray that God will put it on your hearts to think about other people. God loves us please let God in your hearts. If he were there we would'nt have any shotings or killing. Please go to church and learn to love God he loves you and everyone else in this world. God cares!!!!!!!
