Ancient Pyramids Built Inside-Out
Various theories have been proposed to explain how people who didn't even have pulleys or iron tools could manage to build the hulking structures that still stand after all these years. Theories range from alien technology to mystical, magical powers.
Researcher Jean-Pierre Houdin says that the answer is much more simple: they just used available techniques like sleds and counterweights to build the things from the inside out. He used technology from Dassault Systèmes to create 3-D computerized models of the pyramids, replicating not only their look and dimensions but also details like the weight of the individual stones and their layout. He then virtually recreated the pyramids a block at a time (surely faster than the Egyptians did way back when).
So now--perhaps--we can put the aliens to rest and get back to the debates that really matter.
