Halo 2 Getting New Life with Old Maps
If there's one thing gamers like more than new games, it's remakes of old games, and Microsoft is hoping the same idea holds true for new and old content. The company, together with developers Bungie and Certain Affinity, has announced that it is updating two of the most popular Halo maps and will be releasing them as downloadable content for Halo 2. The first, Hang 'em High, has been "re-imagined" as Tombstone, and will feature graphical updates, of course, as well as "a few hidden surprises." The other is called Desolation, a new version of the former Derelict, apparently receiving a "massive gameplay overhaul" to make it a little more playable for serious shooter fans.
The pair will be included in a $4 bundle (no confusing MS points here), releasing on April 17th for both the original Xbox and the 360. Not a bad bargain, and it might just be enough to keep Halo purists happy until Halo 3 drops this fall.

Your making us pay for 2 maps that you guys are making us download or else we cannot play team slayer, swat, rumble pit....thats weak....ps3 doesn't do that kind of scamming. I mean don't get me wrong im a xbox guy all day, but halo 3 is coming out and microsoft/xbox has made enough money from us already...and just wait till halo 3 comes out. You guys say that you sold 5 million cd's of halo 2 imagine what halo 3 is going to do. let alone you are making halo 3 for only the xbox 360 which xbox owners are now going to have to buy the 360 in order to play halo 3. Now you guys are makin more money right there. my point is 4 dollars for 2 maps....WEAK
